NaBloPoMo Day 9

I’ve been thinking about the next year and what my plans will be. I’m hoping to really delve in to the social scene by attending fashion shows, art exhibits, local events and more photography networking. School and work has taken over my life in the past 5 years and I have not experienced as much as I’ve wanted too.

I’m ready to refresh my life and I’m going to start by getting out more. My next step is to live a healthier lifestyle. It’s so easy to get so busy and wrapped up into everyday life, that you can neglect your health and wellness.  I’m going to document this journey online with social media to help hold myself accountable so I hope you guys will follow along 🙂

Lastly, I want to completely re-brand my photography business as well as my “blogosphere”. I have learned how to handle my photography business, so now it’s time for me to put everything into action. Everything will change, concerning pricing, the meetings, forms, locations and editing process. I’m ready to kick my photography business into full drive, and I’m excited for the new changes to come.

As far as my blog goes, I would like to change the name. I originally wanted to show that my passion is photography by naming my blog “The Lovely Photog”, but I have several different areas of interest and I want to be able to show that .

So here’s where you guys come in….

I need help with a new blog name…

Here are my areas of interest…

I thought about changing my name as well – and quiting. But then my name is already self-branded, unique, and in sync through out all social media outlets. Unless I have the most kick-a$$ name, it would be pointless. Same goes for you. In my opinion, you already have photography as your business. Why not let that be what bridges the gap between all of your content? Continue to showcase your art no matter what you write about. It will always be a shameless plug for your business side. However if you start with a few options, that could help jog our brains to come up with the perfect name for you. Good luck. I a few side questions for you soon. I can’t wait to get out again. I love networking but with my husbands schedule I can never make an event.

That was my thought process in creating my name in the first place–to connect it with my photography business. I’m just hoping it doesn’t steer readers who I would like following me for the other areas of interest I like to write about it.

I’m the same way when it comes to my schedule. It all depends on my husbands work schedule, so I can’t go to the photographer meet ups and fashion shows like I want 😦

Good advice ! Thank you! Ask away when you get the chance 🙂

There isn’t anything wrong with starting over though. I understand what you mean. I think the only thing that could steer someone away is your content. Just make sure that those topics above are the menu items at the top of your page. A tab for each. If you find the right avenues to promote the different topics then you should be fine. Your title could be a little misleading at fist but you may end just finding more people that fit your entire lifestyle rather than just one topic. But I totally get why it bothers you. The only reason why I am not totally encouraging changing it, is because you have a business. That is unless you want to be a profession make up artist or something, you know. Staying with the business side seems more important.
