Natural Hair Product Review Featuring Aunt Jackie’s Curls and Coils

Aunt Jackie’s Curls & Coils Product Review

Aunt-Jackies-Product-Review-Image

Aunt Jackie’s Curls and Coils natural hair product is fresh on the market and everyone is raving around about it. Aunt Jackie’s Curls & Coils Curl La La was even featured in a Curlbox. It’s the talk of the town and I was able to try out and review two of the products and I have so much to say about them!

My Initial Review

Aunt-Jackies-Product-II

Product Packaging

Pros

This product range has beautiful packaging with color coordinating labels to match the product.

Cons

  • If you’re a person who doesn’t care for color in their products, this product line isn’t for you. The colors in the product line include orange, pink, blue and purple.

Product Fragrance

Pros

The products have a floral soft scent to them. They aren’t overpowering and they do leave a lingering smell after your hair is dry and styled. I found it be very pleasant.

Cons

  • If you have a problem with fragrance in your products, this product line isn’t for you.
  • Can be a little sticky if you use too much product.

Product Details

  • Sulfate-Free
  • Paraben-Free
  • No Mineral Oil
  • No Petrolatum
  • Can be used on any hair type and texture ( Not just for natural hair)
  • With the exception of Aunt Jackie’s Curls & Coils Curl La La, you can use these products to achieve straight hair

My Product Review

Aunt-Jackies-Product-Review-I

I used Aunt Jackie’s Curls & Coils In Control Moisturizing & Softening Conditioner on my hair for my cowash. I let the product sit on my hair for 10 minutes with a plastic cap to deep condition before washing. The product slipped through my hair easily and I was able to detangle my natural kinky coily hair with ease. The product literally melted into my hair. My hair immediately became soft and moisturized.

The conditioner has shea butter, extra virgin olive oil and keratin. All of these ingredients had my hair feeling soft and looking shiny. It was super soft and manageable after washing and air drying. My hair didn’t feel heavy or brittle as it did before washing. I had a lot of bounce and moisture.

Pros

  • Soft & Moisturizing
  • Easy Slip
  • Shiny & Bouncy Hair
  • Affordable ($5-6)

After I washed my hair, I used Aunt Jackie’s Curls & Coils Curl La La on damp hair. I styled a twist out with this product and waited over night for the results. My hair was soft and shiny after using this product. I had no frizz and my hair felt moisturized. I actually had the best twist out results from using this product.

Pros

  • Soft & Manageable
  • No frizz
  • Fragrant
  • No flaking
  • Affordable ($5-6)

When I used Aunt Jackie’s Curls & Coils Knot On My Watch Instant Detangling Therapy, my hair had so much slip when this product was added. I only had to use about a quarter size of it in each section. My hair also felt extremely soft after washing and conditioning my hair. The product left my hair smelling really great after styling as well.

Aunt-Jackie's-Knot-On-My-Watch-Product-Review-The-Lovely-Photog-Natural-Hair-Care

Pros

  • Great product slip
  • Moisturizing
  • A little goes a long way
  • Adds softness to hair
  • Smells great
  • Reasonably priced

Overall, these products form Aunt Jackie’s Curls & Coils are definitely worth a try. They are affordable and there is plenty of product pay-off. You won’t be disappointed if you try this product line out. Whether you’re naturally curly or have straight hair, Aunt Jackie’s Curls & Coils promote soft manageable hair. This brand has exceeded my expectations! I would recommend this product line to any curly hair woman!

Rating: 4 out 5

Mini Shopping Haul|Beauty Hair Products+Reviews

Mini-Shopping-Haul-Hair-Products

I have been experiencing dry hair for about a month now. I have stopped using the Eco Styler Gel with Argan Oil, which I think was part of the cause of my hair drying out, but I also have started using Suave Conditioner, which I believe is very hard on my hair. So I needed to do a major over haul of the products I was using and try and replace them with moisturizing hair products for dry and damaged hair.

Cantu-Shea-Butter-Oil

I have always used coconut oil, evoo, and castor oil on my hair, but I’ve never used the actual shea butter oil. My hair loves this oil you guys! My hair is super soft after I apply this. I use this oil as a daily moisturizer and I also use it for my “oil rinsing”. It’s been great so far. It’s very silky, smooth, and smells wonderful to me! I love the way it smells!  I’m going to add it to my oil list and make sure I always have it in supply. My hair has not felt dry and straw like since using this product. It’s #1 on my list of recommendations. Did I mention it smells really nice? lol

Shea-Butter-Coconut-Curling-Cream 12 oz $6.99

I have used this product a couple of times on my hair. The first time I did a “twist out” and the second time I did a “bantu knot” style. Both times were completely unsuccessful and partly because I didn’t use a styling gel to “hold” the curl, but I wanted to see how the product would work without the extra help. My curls did not hold up, they were loose, limp and hardly defined. The cream does smell very nice and my hair is left feeling soft, but I feel like the product is a little too heavy for my hair. When I use this product with the shea butter oil, my hair feels soooo soft and moisturized. No drying out my hair when using the combination of the cream+oil

Herbal-Essences-Conditioner 10 oz $2.99

This conditioner is so moisturizing. It’s not heavy at all and is very thin, so it really glides through my hair when I “co-wash”. I can’t complain about this product. As you can tell from the indentations at the top of the bottle, I use it a lot and I don’t spare any product. Conditioner doesn’t last long in my house 🙂 My curls really spring after using Herbal Essences Conditioner.

Tressemme-Conditioner

Tressemme-Conditioner 32 oz. $5.99

I’ve used this conditioner multiple times now and I love the way it makes my hair feel. I meant to buy the naturals line of the Tresemme Conditioners, but the results are pretty good. My hair is a lot more light weight after using this product, which means it adds more bounce and free movement. This particular conditioner is special because it is specifically made for daily use. I co-wash once a week, so even though it may contain some sulfates & “cones”, I’m not damaging my hair by using the conditioner too often.

Tell Me…

What new products did you try in September?

Any hair product recommendations for naturally curly hair women?
