Beautifully Broken|Inspiration

Self Portrait

Over the years, I have tried my best to keep my private life private and my blogging life full of the things that I love. And over the years, the passion I had for writing and other things have slowly dwindled. Because after all of this time, I have been silently struggling. Struggling to grow. Struggling to hold on to who I was and I was to become. I have forever been able to stay strong no  matter what I’ve been through, but this time it was different. Different because what I was going through affected me so deeply. So much so, I didn’t know who I was or who I became. I thought I was a strong woman until my world started crashing down. The person I thought I was, wasn’t enough for who I was bound to, my beautiful blessed life, had become a beautiful mess. Everything I thought I knew was no longer. Everything I thought was felt, wasn’t felt at all. And everything I had worked so hard for, meant nothing at all. So where do you go from there? After all, you thought you were living your happily ever after. But my ever after, was just until. Just until he became who he wanted to be. Just until he got what he wanted in life. Just until he could take all he could bear. Without an explanation, with all of the excuses. Every excuse you could think of actually. So now I’m left here. To pick up the broken pieces. A beautiful person inside and out…but beautifully broken. Broken because of what has become of my situation. Broken because my marriage is no longer. Broken because I have to explain it to my daughter one day. Broken because what I thought was forever was momentary. So here I am, beautifully broken. Fragile and cracked but not broken completely. Because I have to stay intact for who is left. A beautiful part of me that I will always hold dear. A miniature version of me who needs to see that a beautiful  broken woman, can become a beautiful and strong woman again, without the damage that left scars. Scars that can be healed and concealed. The beautiful peace about this is, that rebuilding what has been broken, makes me appreciate life even more. What has been broken can be brought back to pristine condition. Beautifully broken for a moment, but beautifully blessed for a lifetime.

Christian Inspiration|Single… but not Desperate!

I am embarking on a new journey and a new me this year. Learning how to become the woman God wants me to be. I have gone through a lot in my short life time, puppy love, infatuation, heartbreak, marriage and all the things you can think of during a break up.

There are things in your life you can’t control, but there are ways you can choose to deal with them. By leading a life that is God-Centered, instead of Self-Centered, you can open up the doors to so much happiness and true love for not only yourself but others around.

I have been so thankful to have found Dr. Matthew and Dr. Khamilah Stevenson through their videos and broadcasts from their church, All Nations Worship (ANWA). I have never been so convicted by the word of God than I have been through watching and following them. You can find out more about them and, here.

Dr. Matthew Stevenson III

My mother raised me as a young teen mom and now is a successful Registered Nurse and CPR Instructor. She has been my rock and my mentor though out my life,  and I love her dearly for it. There is also a need for pastoral leadership and mentorship in my life that can show me through God’s word, what a  woman of God should be, expect and grow into in life.

That is why I am so glad that I decided to sign up for The Online Single Woman’s Conference 2017 (TOSC17)

The amazing couple, Pastors Jamal and Natasha Miller, Married and Young, are hosting TOSC17, with an amazing lineup! They have created this conference to help women of all ages learn how to get into position to be the best they can be in God centered relationships. TOSC17, is specifically geared towards single women, this conference can help any woman struggling with giving and receiving what they deserve out of people in their Christian walk.

Don’t be negative minded you’ll defeat yourself before you begin.
Release positivity into the atmosphere!

Today I just wanted to encourage everyone to remain positive.  Let your thoughts, words, and actions be the reflection of a positive attitude.  When life’s situations and circumstances come against you don’t focus on the problems focus on the solutions.  If you start to feel the weight of stress on your shoulders remind yourself that so many others in this world would love to trade their sorrows for yours.  Outlooks determine outcomes I want mine to be positive what about you?

MLK-Day| from Takei Inspirations™

Martin-Luther-King-Jr-

“Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into friend.”

-Martin Luther King Jr.

There is so much wisdom and truth within these 12 words!  I know I speak on the power of love quite often,  that’s because within love lies the power to overcome any and everything!  MLK showed a love for all mankind regardless of differences in ethnicity, race, religious beliefs, or gender. He fought for equal rights of African Americans and all minorities.

This is a day to remember a giant of our Nation’s history and a pioneer of the Civil Rights Movement. During his lifelong struggle for justice and equality, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., gave strong voice to the silent hopes of millions, offered a redemptive path for oppressed and oppressors alike, and led a Nation to the mountaintop!  We should also keep in mind that our journey is not yet complete.   We have an obligation to build on the success of past generations.  It is up to us to ensure that the justice system works equally for all people. We must work on  creating equality in the dignity of good jobs, decent wages, and quality of education.  I encourage each of you to do your part as we continually move closer to the nation that Dr. King spoke about in his I have a dream speech.

It’s My Birthday! | A Year of Reflection

Sunset

It’s 2015 and it’s the year that I turn 30 years old (the last time I will reveal my age so keep up lol) ! Of course, with the turn of another decade behind me, I’m reflecting over my past and future plans. There’s so much that I dreamed of accomplishing by now, you can read about some of those things here, but I’ve come to realize that there’s more to that when it comes to entering a new phase in your life.

This birthday marks to me, renewed womanhood. Accomplishing things that I’ve set for my life and actually achieving them. Facing life with a take charge attitude and assurance. Becoming a wife and a mother has helped guide me to become a better woman than I could ever think of, and entering my 30s with a new outlook for these areas of my life is what’s motivating me.

I’m looking forward to learning more about myself and what I’m capable of. I’m looking forward to enjoying things that I couldn’t even fathom in my teens, like buying my first home or starting my retirement. These are things that are important in life—not “TURNING UP” or buying Persian, Remy, or Indian Weave, or “knock off” Louboutin shoes. ‘

I’m a grown woman, with grown woman dreams and aspirations, and I’m looking forward to being a great example for my daughter.
